If i wasn't asian

If I wasn't a Chinese born person, or at least didn't wear those stupid, geeky glasses and didn't have retarded fucking parents to raise me and brainwash me for the most of my life, I'd be much happier than before. No asian has ever been prime minister or president of the states or canada, though it's funny cause around 60% of North America is populated with Asian people. I don't hate my own race 100%. I just hate the fact that most of the Asian people I have met have extremely weird habits and attitude problems, which in turn may have a detrimental effect on me. I wish that all races would be just as strong as each other, with the same strengths at the same, optimum level because it'll make every race very competent, and respected. If only the majority of Asian people were as tall and big and strong as black people, popular as white and blacks, and if only they were more accepting of other cultures and not so fuckin arrogant and cowardly. All those stereotypes bestowed on Asians may or may not be true. It's true, for example that the majority of Asians are very intelligent, and value work ethic. It's true that the most of them are not as fluent in English compared to their western counterparts ( at least the ones I have met). It's also true that their parents are like Denizens of the underworld who have them in their fullest custody and under their fullest watch, and it's true that most of em are small, and unathletic ( thank god i'm not like that anymore. I love sports, workin out and fighting). I was momentarily in disbelief when I had heard or read of these stereotypes, but realized the versimilitudeness behind those so called, "claimed facts."

Has an asian man or woman ever won an oscar award for best actor or actress, or supporting actor or actress? Yes, but they rarely ever get nominated for awards, proving the lack of fine acting in Asian cinema ( most of em are martial arts flicks or stupid horror movies. I look up to actors who are white, black and even middle eastern, why? cause they can act and SPEAK MORE FLUENT ENGLISH). Has an asian man or woman ever won major sporting championships, or have they been considered proficient contenders of sports and leagues such as hockey, baseball, football, soccer, basketball? There has never been an Asian MVP in basketball ( yao is shit now), baseball ( ok, matsui and ichiro suzuki, but who else?), soccer, and speaking of hockey, I've never even heard of an Asian player. If there is an existing Asian player, why hasn't he or she been to the all star game, and why hasn't he won the MVP award? And lastly, why are there no Asian fighters or boxers who are actually famous? Manny Pacquiao is Asian, and i have the utmost respect for him, but that's it. The entire boxing and fighting, and wrestling, and olympic circuits have been majorly dominated by americans, caucasians, black people and even middle easterns such as Amir Khan. My parents and many other imbeciles who've I've encountered say that Asians are the hardest working, and it's true but they never learn anything from what they do. They work and act like robots, and they work in low paying jobs, or have still not met the standards of living as a Canadian. Asians are the smartest? last i heard, Stephen hawking and albert einstein were some of the smartest people, same with John Nash, and famous scholars and philosophers such as Socrates, have been more influential to people than any other asian person like Sun Tzu ( pronounced sin zu by the way).

So, until Asian people begin to accept and assimilate themselves into the western cuture, those listed characteristics and stereotypes will live on. Only the asians who are actually competent and understanding enough to actually do something useful with their lives socially, physicall and romantically as well as intellectually will be content with their overall lives and famous and well-respected. Asians restrict their children from many extra curricular activites which they " believe" is "dangerous," why? Because they have no adequate background knowledge on the things they are worried about thanks to their censorship system. And until they begin to adapt to a more modern style of living, I will never look at them at a different way. I appreciate that they have their own unique culture and language and beliefs, but every other culture has that as well ( don't say white ppl don't have their own languages, because Europeans can speak many tongues, and people living in parts of africa such as Senegal have their own languages such as Afrikaans and French). It's really time for Asians to be more open minded, and to appreciate and express much interest in being a part of the Canadian way of life, and other cultures and activities in general. Peace.

Yang's tribute

This right here, will be a tribute to all humans who have lived on the face of the earth, and have been significant and helpful to everyone else inhabiting this planet, for the sake of them having a better quality of life. Let's begin with our parents, the ones who made dedicated sacrifices, who worked their butts off day and night, and have had to stress and worry themselves, and have had to make tough decisions for the sake of us, to have a better quality of living and to be happier overall. The ones who had to move here to Canada under the harshest of all conditions, and have had to observe the most grotesque of horrors, and face the worst of the worst in terms of discrimination, violence and hardships with others. This is a tribute to the firemen, policemen, soldiers, scholars, scientists, businessmen, actors, actresses, doctors, nurses, politicians, advocates, musicians, and athletes who have blessed our earth and media and have influenced our ways of thinking and living, and have made this world a better place for many overall. There are those who made a difference to mankind such as Martiin Luther King and Mother Teresa, and there are those who are making a difference such as Craig Kielburg, and David Suzuki, and those who have wowed us in awe on the screen every time we go to watch a film or tv show such as daniel day lewis, and those who have made television shows unique. Those who have inspired us physically, such as kobe bryant, michael jordan, wayne gretzki, muhammed ali, mike tyson, and those who have inspired us mentally such as Albert Einstein. Those who have risked their safety and lives to protect their countries all around the world, The soldiers in afghanistan, middle east, and around the world training and vowing to protect their families and countries, the strong men and women in navies, in the air force and in the police and the swat team, and CIA who go beyond their best efforts to protect our country within, and the ones who have died doing so.

This is for the victims of rape, crimes, hate, racism, murder, robberies, and other forms of discrimination, and the victims who had a chance to go far in life, and the ones who had been low in life, but had the chance to change. This is for the black people, who have faced unmentionable and unspeakable forms of hatred for thousands of years by the whites and other races, and have had to live every day of their life in fear and in slavery, and have had to suffer great measures of pain for the dumbest and most incoherent reasons, and the black people who have fought hard and rose up for their race to show that all that was extremely stupid and wrong, such as Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. This is for the Asian people, my people, who have and are seen as being inferior in every way, who have been ignored, abused, and ridiculed for hundreds and hundreds of years, who have risked their damn lives and safety building Canada's Railroad ( if it weren't for us, you canadians would've been fucked, so thank us because you haven't given us recognition at all), and the ones who have been brutally murdered, beaten and slain due to their appearances, and the ones who have had to work so hard to make a living in this country, and the ones who have rose up to prominence in terms of education and intellect, and the ones who impacted our society and contribute to this society, and the ones who aren't afraid to go up to the racist white, black, middle eastern men and tell them that what they say is wrong. This is for the asians who have made efforts to be proficient in everything they do, and have dominated almost everything that there is today. This is for the Middle Easterns, the ones who are poorly misjudged, the ones who have such unique indentities and cultures, the ones who have to fear for their lives every day living in the Middle east because of what those american, canadian and european soldiers are doing to them behind the media's backs. The ones who made us laugh and cry, such as Russell peters and the actors and actresses of bollywood and slumdog millionaire, and the ones who have impacted our music industry, the ones who have fought for world peace and died for world peace such as Mahatmas ghandi, and the ones who are still fighting for world peace. There are those who are extremely efficient athletes, and those who are boxers and respected by me ( Amir khan, best middle eastern boxer. Muhammed Ali and Mike tyson, 2 of the greatest Islamic boxers of all time). There are those who have suffered so much and so many forms of discrimination, and those who have been detained and accused of being " terrorists" when the americans are the ones who are terrorizing the thousands of Iraqi civilians day in and day out.

And lastly, let me pay tribute to the white people. The white people were the ones who had the greatest influence on the earth, and myself. They're the ones who are necessities of this planet, the scholars, artists like michaelangelo, discoverers, athletes like michael phelps and larry bird and wayne gretzki and dan marino, explorers like Marco Polo, geniuses like albert einstein, and the countless actors and actresses who have made it so big in holleywood such as Tom hanks, Daniel day lewis, and the beautiful and independent women who have fought vigourously for their rights and identities as "persons" such as Emily murphy, and the ones who are so accepting of the cultures of the human race, and the ones who serve us around the world, and the ones who served in WW1 and WW2. Let me also pay tribute to those who we see as being disadvantaged and handicapped, the ones with lethal conditions and disabilities, and the ones who have had to live every day of their lives in solitude and fear around the world, and go home or to sleep hungry, uneducated, beaten, and without their parents and family or friends to say to them, " good night." The ones who have been ridiculed and insulted due to their mental and physical disabilities, who are only just trying so hard to fit in, but can't because they are so unfortunate to be in the states they're in. No human being wants to be born or end up like that, and no one should yet people all around the globe still do nothing to help them, and instead put them in the spotlight of discrimination and ridicule. For the ones who still live, let God or whatever you believe in help you through your life, and for the ones who have died, yet made no impact or have made significant impacts on society, May you rest in peace and never be forgotten, ever. Amen.

The more you know, the less interested you become? Really?

For many of us, there are times in our lives where something significant happens, and we just tell ourselves, " i gotta find out what happened before it's too late!" And we vow to go behind the scenes and dig up whatever information we can get about what we want to know. Whether it's a mysterious and unusual murder or crime, a significant event or happening such as a rumour or a signing, or a certain characteristic of a person or thing, we become tempted and curious, and want to ask why, how, when, what, who or where. It's the same with relationships. When you ask someone if they have a girlfriend or boyfriend, and they respond, "yes." You would typically follow up with the question, " who?" And when that person doesn't answer, this sense of urgency and anxiousness rises up within, and you pester that person and pepper them with questions until you get an answer. And when you do get an answer, you become less interested, and sometimes you ask yourself, " why did I ask that? How lame!"
In a way, I believe humans are meant to be mysterious and inconspicuous. They shouldn't expose much about themselves, and should remain secretive about things, because it'll make things much more interesting. Some things are just better left unexplained and unknown, because it causes and stabilizes that feeling of anxiousness and curiosity, and causes people to be vastly obsessed and interested in that certain topic or answer they're looking for. Imagine, if every mystery on the earth were to be solved. There would be no need for certain theories, and all those subjects which require research and deep thinking would be.. obsolete and useless, such as philosophy or religion.

So, the next time you encounter an unusual occurance, you might as well leave it as be, and let your vivid imagination do the work and thinking for you, because that is what thinking is for, and it is a really good thing to expand your imagination and your thinking overall, because this may, in turn, enhance creativity, the one thing which makes us humans so unique. Peace

My non-contemporary mind

I do not know what it exactly is, but it seems as if I am not living a very modern, 21st century lifestyle like how should be living. I don't worship or value technology, the entertainment industry, and the media altogether, but instead value the nature of literature, education and surplus amounts of knowledge- I just want to learn and know about things more and more. And because I live like this, I feel impotent and ignored by my schoolmates and people I have met, due to my very dull and serene nature. I do not partake in many conversations, because i find some to be very meaningless in context, and some to be of a very unorthodox nature ( there are always people talking in their own forms of language, like newspeak). The people of the 20th century are more advanced than me, and own various forms of techology such as the Ipod, Blackberry, and so forth and they use it for very different reasons and purposes. Phones are meant to talk to people distant from you, and Ipods should be used to listen to music, but the majority of people use them to watch videos, and text or play games. The library is a place for studying and reading, yet many people still waste their pitiful lives talking about nonsense things, and playing games on the internet. I wish for an era where people would just put down their remotes, their phones and Ipods and games, and instead open a book, enjoy the content of the book, and unleash their vivacious imaginations.

If people were a bit more considerate about their health, and less on technology, cars, and new brands of clothings, they'd be more beneficial in the end. If people were to value education, knowledge and work ethic a bit more, they would possibly end up with fewer nuisances in the end. If people valued true friendships and not popularity contests, they would make more and more friends who actually care about them and see their overall viewpoints. Right now, I see war, poverty and so many other acts of negligence, and am truly disgusted in nature. If people were to only use the technology they have for good and if they were to use them in a more meaningful manner, the world would be a better place.

Value of life

I can still remember that fond memory of me, as a 6 year old, sitting on the lap of a man dressed as Santa Clause during the Christmas season. The man asked me what i wanted for Christmas, and I responded to him, " A new toy car, a new video game, a new chess set," and so on. And ever since then, I've always valued such useless concrete objects such as toys, games and food, and failed to realize the importance of living safely and filling that life with gusto and zest. I was a very dull child back then, and didn't really value education or knowledge, and did not look after my own well-being. People who were coeval seemed to have a better quality of living compared to me. They were much happier, and much more healthy, patient, disciplined and knowledgeable of their surroundings. Quite the contrary, I was an unhealthy child who had the tendency of falling ill in the simplest situations and conditions, and was quite obese and sedentary in terms of physical activity. I had many close calls throughout my life, none of which I personally cherish or am proud of. I have nearly died 8 times, 4 due to pneumonia, 1 due to obesity and underactiveness, 1 due to carelessness, and twice due to pure stupidity.

Up until then, I had never once thought about how precious my life was. I never pondered upon the fact that I had only 1 life, and one that I could never get back had I lost it. There were certain cirumstances I knew which I couldn't change, such as my appearance and my race, but still tried to change. There were also other circumstances which I could've and should've changed, such as my attitude and my overall behaviour and responsibility, but still failed to change. And because I wasn't self-aware of my own flaws and mistakes, I ended up suffering both physically and mentally. I knew that I should've done and started on certain things, and knew I should've halted the continuaton of other activities, but still didn't consider doing them and instead just laid back and watched my life go to waste. Had I paid attention, and had I been more discreet and exuberant in nature in a more positive manner, I would've ended up in a better state. Remember that everything a person does counts for something, because their life is ticking and ticking away. Every passing second becomes a memory, and every time you waste your valuable time, you'll feel the side effects of it. Don't sit and do absolutely nothing and attempt to engage in meaningful and aidful tasks and activities. Don''t wait until the last second to do things, and be careful of yourself and surroundings at all times, because the slightest mistake can drastically and detrimentally change your life forever.

Most of all, never sit down and whine or moan about things you can't change. Don't spend your valuable time complaining and blaming, and instead find a way to raise yourself back up, and look at the positives and alternatives of things. Always take action, and always analyze the risks of every activity. When people are in dire need of help, or if you see them struggling and in despair, don't shy away from helping them or asking them what's wrong. If you see that one true love you like, don't shy away from talking to him or her, but know that he or she has a mind and life of his or her own, and consider his or her perspectives and values before you make any sort of move on him or her. In all, make your life a memorable one for those who are closest to you, and always remember that no amount of gold, money and fame can replace a living, breathing human being capable of having so much more, because once your life is endangered or scarred from a mesmerizing event, you'll start to appreciate and accept the fact that your life, body and mind should be at the optimum positions in terms of personal values and interests. Peace

Deeds and duties....

Whenever I'm around a group of people my age and of my social status, I see a pityful and omnipresent characteristic within them: They don't listen, and don't follow instructions. Now, this particular quote doesn't apply to every single individual on a daily basis, but I can absolutely guarantee that everyone at this point has been a hypocrite and has been ignorant of others at some point in their lives. When we were young, we were.. ribald. We disrespected and rebelled against our parents and people of authority. Most of us did it because we were not understanding, and to us, everything our parents told us to do was incoherent and useless in our minds. " Why do I have to do the dishes, my homework, read, go to bed early, eat my veggies, clean my room, ect." These are just some of the common things we replied with. Now that we're older, we realize that we have more responsibilities. We must complete work and get sleep for a successful life. We must pay attention in class and organize ourselves, and must help other people and connect with them to meet that need of communication and connection within ourselves. Back then, most things were either given, or earned. We had to work to get a treat, or we were given allowances. Now, everything should be earned. Nothing should be given to us because we must learn to get things ourselves in order to establish maturity.

Why is it, then, that we still break our simple promises we have to ourselves and other people? We promise to ourselves, that we'll get our readings and homework done. We promise that we'll talk with the people we need to talk to, and promise to study earlier, and promise to eat healthier, and promise to enjoy and respect the company of other people around us. But, inside, we hate it. We have this feeling f absolute laziness, and we need the incentiveness of others to aid us in completing and fulfilling our deeds. We constantly panic and worry when a deadline for something approaches, and we blame ourselves for not starting or doing something earlier, and promise that we'll get things done as early as possible the next time. When we grow and get older to the point where we are 100% responsible and mature, we must fulfill our promises, otherwise we will become the scapegoat within our company, circle of friends and family. So, when you make a promise to yourself to do something, think up a plan of how and when to do it, and how much you should be able to do or complete each day, or week. Be realistic, and never promise to do things which you know will be impossible to complete or do. Peace.

Temptations

Every once in a while, or rather every day, we are all exposed to things which make us want to have, and want to do or to be a part of. Whether it be something physical like food, or something visual, like a picture, there's always this little voice in our conscious mind which tells us over and over again: " take it, do it, be a part of it! Have it, it's fun and exciting, and enjoyable for you! It's good for you, and makes you feel soooo good!" Whatever it may be for us, we always end up wanting more of it, or less of it depending on our experiences and what we get in the end from it. Some people are tempted through seduction and enticement, by peer pressure. Some are tempted to do bad things, like to smoke, to drink, to have sex, amongst other things. Some people, despite having a laundry full of responsibilities, are tempted to go outside and play for the rest of the day, or to play video games, or to eat, or to watch tv, and so on. Some are tempted to eat or drink or have one more thing, such as a slice of cake, or a cup of water, or chips, through appearance, smell, taste and the media altogether. Sometimes we're tempted to do bad things like having sex because we are curious to know what it will feel like, and sometimes we're tempted because we want to go against authority, and common beliefs. Restrictions actually vamp up temptations. The more you're forced not to do something you like or want to do, the more tempted you may be in doing it altogether. Religions ban people to not do drugs, and to not kill or do things of a violent nature without reason, but sometimes there's that strong urge to do or take part in violent thing like fighting because of peer pressure, and pressure put on you in other ways altogether.

And sometimes, you can be tempted to do something because of trickory and false claims. Some people will tell you that things like cigarettes will be good for you, and others will tell you that it is good to beat people up due to the fact that it will gain you notoriety and fame/respect amongst the toughest people. Some people are also tempted to engage in risky behaviour due to inadequate knowledge or background of the things, or because they have had a stressful day and want to do something to soothe and relax their minds. All these situations are quite interesting, and it's even interesting to see how people have a difficult time being tempted to do beneficial things, such as cleaning up the earth, greeting others nicely, helping the homeless, and just speaking and being friendly altogether. How is it that people get so excited and ecstatic when being tempted to do bad things, but whine and moan and feel frustrated when they're tempted to do good things? Is it because humans are born to like bad things and to do bad things? And if we're truly born good, why does it feel so good to do bad things and to procratinate when we do them without anyone having authority over us? It's still interesting to me....
